Frequently asked questions

What are printable sheet labels?
Printable sheet labels are blank, die-cut labels on 8.5 x 11 inch sheets that run through a home inkjet or laser printer. You design the label on your computer, print the sheet, then peel each label off and apply it. Dashleigh labels come in 35 sizes cut to fit specific containers - mason jars, spice jars, wine and beer bottles, cosmetic bottles, lip balm tubes, candy bars - so you are never trimming by hand.
Which printable labels are waterproof?
The Waterproof White Vinyl and Clear Gloss materials are fully waterproof. They survive ice buckets, condensation, refrigerators and bathroom humidity without smearing or peeling, which makes them the right choice for bottles, jars, soaps and cosmetics. Both print on inkjet printers only. The kraft, recycled white and pastel paper labels are not waterproof and are best for dry containers, pantry jars and gift packaging.
Do I need special software to design my labels?
No. Every pack includes free templates sized exactly to that label at the Dashleigh Template Center. Open the template in Canva to design in your browser, or download it for Word, Pages or PDF. Add your text and images, print a test page on plain paper to check alignment, then print on the label sheet. Each product page shows its template number and a download link.
Can I print these labels on a laser printer?
It depends on the material. Brown kraft, 100% recycled white and the pastel uncoated papers work in both inkjet and laser printers. Waterproof White Vinyl and Clear Gloss are inkjet only - the heat of a laser printer can damage the vinyl. Every product page lists the printer type next to each material so you can choose before you buy.
How do I know which label size fits my jar or bottle?
Start with the container type above - jars, bottles, lids, cosmetics - and each product page lists the exact label dimensions and the containers it fits, for example “standard 750ml wine bottles” or “4 oz and 6 oz Boston round bottles.” For a container that is not listed, measure the flat area where the label will sit: the label needs to be slightly smaller than that flat area so the edges do not lift on a curve.
How many labels come in a pack, and can I order in bulk?
Most sizes come as a 10-sheet pack, and the number of labels depends on how many fit a sheet: 4 wine labels or 6 bottle wraps per sheet make 40 or 60 labels, while small round or spice jar labels run 120 to 200 per pack. Many sizes also come in 50-sheet packs at a lower price per label, and the largest sizes in 250-sheet cases. Each product page lists labels per sheet and pack sizes.
