Vintage Recipe Cards
Free Shipping for Standard Orders over $50
Vintage recipe cards for the recipes worth writing by hand. Every set here is 4 x 6 inches, the size that fits a standard recipe box and a 4x6 envelope, with lined fields for ingredients and directions on the front and room to continue on the back. Styles run from retro 1950s kitchen prints and old-fashioned botanicals to farmhouse, French tea and vintage lemon, so there is a set to match a grandmother's recipe box or a new kitchen. Most sets are water-resistant, which means a splash of oil or a wet countertop wipes clean instead of soaking through on heavy card stock that takes pen without bleeding.
They are bought most often for three things: copying a family's handwritten recipes onto cards that will last, filling a recipe box as a bridal shower or housewarming gift, and collecting recipes from guests at a shower. Each set comes with 48 or 50 cards. Matching 4x6 envelopes are sold separately. Orders before 2 pm CST ship the same day.
FAQ
What size are vintage recipe cards? All Dashleigh recipe cards are 4 x 6 inches, the standard size for recipe boxes, dividers and 4x6 envelopes. Some sets are also available in 5 x 7.
Are the cards double-sided? Yes. The front has fields for the recipe name, ingredients and directions; the back is lined for the rest of the method or notes.
Can I write on them with any pen? Standard sets take ballpoint, gel and felt-tip pens. Water-resistant sets have a smooth coating that works best with ballpoint or a permanent fine-liner; gel ink needs a moment to dry.
Do you sell matching envelopes or a recipe box? 4x6 white envelopes are sold separately and fit every set. A recipe box is on the way; for now the cards fit any standard 4x6 box.
Are these printed in the USA? Yes, every recipe card set is designed and printed in the United States.
