Frequently asked questions

What size are wine bottle labels?
Standard wine bottle labels are 4 x 5 inches, which fits a 750ml Bordeaux, Burgundy or Champagne bottle with room to spare. These printable wine labels come four to a sheet on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, so a 40-label pack is 10 sheets. If your bottle has an unusual shape or a strong taper, measure the flat area first; a 4 x 5 label needs about 5 inches of flat height.
Are these labels waterproof?
The Waterproof White Vinyl and Clear Gloss materials are waterproof: they survive ice buckets, condensation, refrigerators and coolers without smearing or peeling, so they are the right choice for any wine that will be chilled. Both print on inkjet printers only. The kraft, recycled and pastel paper options are not waterproof and are best for bottles that stay dry, like gift bottles and tabletop displays.
How do I print my own labels at home?
Every pack comes with free label templates. Open template #8380 at the Dashleigh Template Center in Canva, or download it for Word or PDF, add your text and photos, and print on your home inkjet or laser printer. Print a test page on plain paper first to check alignment, then print on the label sheet, peel and apply. No design software or special printer is needed. Kraft, recycled and pastel labels work in inkjet and laser printers; the waterproof vinyl and clear gloss labels are inkjet only.
Can I use these labels for homemade wine, weddings or a small winery?
Yes. These custom wine bottle labels are popular for homemade wine and cider, wedding and bridal shower favors, milestone birthdays, holiday gifts and small-batch winery branding. Packs are available in 40, 200 and 1000 labels, so you can label a single case or a full vintage, and the permanent adhesive holds on glass through handling and shipping.
