Using Custom Colors in Microsoft Word, both RBG and Hex Values

Do you want to use a special color online in your Word documents? It is very easy.  You just need to RGB (Red Blue Green) values for the color. 

For example: Tuscan Red is (RGB 86, 37, 37).

  1. In MS Word, Select the fill tool Fill Tool, and from the pop-up menu, select "More Fill Colors..."
  2. Click the custom tab, then enter the RGB numbers into the boxes.
  3. Click OK, and the new color is now available to all the tools that use colors.

Do you have a hex value instead?  A hex value (hexidecimal value) is typically used in web design.  An example of a hex value for Tuscan Red is #562525. 

It is a alphanumerical 6 digit value to specifies a single color.  We use a hex to rgb converter at http://hex.colorrrs.com/.

Now you can take a web color and use it in Microsoft Word.
